In a match that soon will be forgotten Chelsea drew their first match in the 2025/2026 season 0-0 against Crystal Palace. In terms of the Premier League this result translates to one point to each team. In terms of the Unofficial Football Club Championship, this result means that Chelsea has retained their Unofficial Club World Champions, as the holders of the virtual trophy get to keep the title if their match ends in a draw.
With this result, Chelsea has conquered their 44th title, their second in a row, after beating Paris Saint-Germain in the Final of the FIFA Club World Cup roughly one month ago. If Palace had won the match, they would have won their 10th title.
Now Chelsea rises to the 21st place in the all-time ranking, tied with Bayern. The next match for the UFCC will be played on 22 August. The next contender to steal the title away from Stamford Bridge will be West Ham. The game will be played at the London Stadium.
